Seeping Time

Written for the Quadrille prompt at dVerse. A poem in exactly 44 words using the chosen word of shimmer.

shimmer

I feel the breeze

and hear the whisper,

watch it dance across the surface,

a shimmer of passing time,

the faintest touch,

skin on skin,

breath on breath,

a hint of just a moment,

of time we cannot hold,

seeping beneath the swell.

  1. Wonderful use of “shimmer”…….ah that we could hold some moments of time……..but then would they be that beautiful in the having or the remembering? This is exquisite!
